Joe White is the President and CEO of JBH Ventures, a real estate development firm he founded to build high-impact investments in communities that need it most. The company identifies, acquires, and develops commercial and residential properties with a focus on thoughtful community engagement, innovative design, and long-term value creation.
Before founding JBH Ventures, Joe served as Partner and Executive Vice President at New City Development Partners, where he managed company operations, built out the property management division, and helped lead more than $100 million in real estate development. Earlier, he co-founded Circle City Property Management & Development, securing capital to acquire and rehabilitate properties and securing a $30 million multifamily development.
Joe’s path to development is unusual, and it shapes how JBH Ventures works. He spent more than 10 years in education leadership, serving as a K-12 and higher-ed teacher, a school administrator, and executive director of an adult high-school network, before spending six years at The Mind Trust, where he rose to Senior Vice President of Schools, supported the launch of over 30 entrepreneurs, schools and non-profit ventures. That background gives him a clear conviction: the built environment and the health of a community are inseparable. Housing, education, and economic mobility are all one project.
That conviction is on the ground today in Loogootee, Indiana, where JBH Ventures broke ground in 2025 on Oak Street Village: a $15 million development delivering 50 workforce-housing apartments and an on-site early childhood facility for a community that needed both. It is JBH Ventures’ first of what Joe intends to be many developments that leave a place better than they found it.
“We build places people are proud to call home, and economic mobility becomes a reality.”
